About the Pastor
Rev. Donald Barlow
Reverend
Donald E. Barlow grew up in Anchorage, Alaska where he met and married his
lovely wife Teresa. Thirty one years of marriage has produced six children
and five grandchildren.
He received his call to ministry in 1975 and was
ordained in 1980 at the New Hope Baptist Church, Anchorage Alaska under
the late Dr. William B. Lyons. After 27 years of service and an urging
from the Lord, Rev. Barlow retired from the Anchorage Fire Department in
1999.
The Lord used a medical
crises in the life of Teresa to bring the Barlow's from Alaska to the Mayo
Clinic Rochester Minnesota. Diagnosed and then given three months to live,
the Lord miraculously glorified Himself by healing Teresa.
It is the
belief of Rev. and Sister Barlow, that the Lord used the storm of medical
crises to reveal His perfect will. In 2002 Rev. Barlow was installed as
the Pastor of Rochester Community Baptist Church, where he and Teresa
serve with gladness and freedom.
Pastor Barlow strongly
believes that "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Men, women, boys and girls are each
encouraged to live life in an manner that will Glorify the Father, do His
will and finish His work.
